Having thought a bit about it I think that my suggestion is

Pre 4.3
-------

* The suppliers are already documented here ( https://shibboleth.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IDP4/pages/1265631700/PredefinedBeans )
* I’ll create an includable page which says something like “Note that from 4.3 the raw beans warn so use a supplier”
* Import that page into every place where the old beans are used in an example.
* Declare victory

After 4.3

At this stage it is safe to only have examples using the suppliers (because 4.2 won’t be supported) so we can work through them as and when we have a second removing the old beans and instead using the new ones.

We’d obviously not want to do this the day that 4.3 ships but we can arrange to get it done well before 5. After we clone the documentation for 5 we can leave the 4 documentation as is and make the rest of the changes in 5.

If this makes sense I’ll do the pre 4.3 work and also enter a case to do the post 4.3 work.
