I did some more digging on I guess unsurprisingly, not only would it be incredibly hard for us to expose all the extension points, but even if we did, it wouldn’t help because there are lots of internal Java code paths that end up calling new SecureRandom() anyway. Fundamentally if they break the ability to easily flip things to non-blocking, it’s going to take a patch anyway and probably to Java.
