This is at the top of my list apart from all the things ahead of it,

A thought (which is irrelevant to this case, but related enough that people with an interest in one will have an interest in the other).

Until we make this change (and indeed afterwards) the fact that an artefact is signed means that there is (or was) something iffy about it (mostly old), Is that a thread worth pulling at wrt to dependency cleanup?

The logs from the enforcer show when we have done a local resolve so its easy to get the base information
