This appears to be a ‘feature’ of how the maven-dependency-plugin:copy plugin works. we have only tripped over it now because shib-cli is the first external SNAPSHOT jar we have included using this plugin.

If I remove idp-installer from my m2 repository then the dated snapshot gets downloaded our maven repo and the jar with that garnished name ends up in bin\lib Compare and contrast the fact that the jars with the corrected (no timestamp) name get out into the war file by the maven-war-plugin

I’ll look and see whether maven-dependency-plugin:copy can be persuaded to do the “right thing” failing which I’ll move this to being a bug in the enforcer
