I am aware that not all IdPs will recognize the name id specified in the AuthnRequest.
However, as the multi-factor authentication of “duo” has achieved even now, if you try to use password authentication as the first factor and authentication factors provided by external SAML IdPs as the second factor, the user will have to enter his/her ID twice unless you give the external SAML IdP information about the subject of the authentication. It would be appreciated if you could consider supporting a method of passing subject information to the external SAML IdP as the second factor, including a method other than specifying the name id in the AuthnRequest.
