I need to capture my state here since things are getting weird.

* In order to allow permissions to non local users you have to specify the domain and the user. These can be properties and [%USERDOMAIN] is a suitable default.
* You are allowed to specify a property for both the username and password of a service you are installing. These properties can be Null, the username has to be fully qualified so there are all acceptabe

* <nothing>
* .\SHIBD_USER
* [DOMAIN] [USER]

* On the other hand you cannot conditionally permissions on files/Registry entries (big log story but WiX whines when the first stanza about allowing administratrors access) so you need to alwayys set the permissions. I propose using a defaulkt Domain of [%USERDOMAIN] and a user of Administrator for when the installer doesn’t want to specify a daemon account.

My next step will be to capture a table of all the various properties and what their values need to be. Then it might be JFDI. Or not.
