I’m not quite so down on

if we could make it an option. In other words, if you iinstall vanilla, it runs as Admin but if you want it locked down more, you have to just suck it up and enter the password. But I guess the question is whether that implies the account and password are externally managed? Otherwise they wouldn’t know it. If they created the account, I’m not sympathetic to the idea they can’t vault and manage it themselves.

We’re getting deeply into “what exactly do you think your job even is?” territory here if people instaling an IdP can’t be responsible for knowing a password.
