I believe that at least where the SecurityConfiguration beans are concerned, all of the existing OP wiring is populating the SAML or now-deprecated fields of the structure rather than the ones you added for the RP. If so, then at least where that’s concerned we should be able to move everything in shibboleth.oidc.DefaultSecurityConfiguration and below over en masse, and your wiring would probably just extend that by populating the new fields you added. In other words, I think you rightly didn’t actually use any of the fields in the original class at all and the OP doesn’t use the new ones, so they should co-exist for an interim release.
