So we tried a maven / clean / install and now maven pulled the correct guava dependency version instead of the android one and everything works fine. It seems we wasted your time and learnt nothing except that OpenSAML doesn’t work with Android’s guava version, which you probably already knew.

You can close this issue then. User error.
