So here’s the problem. The StredIdConnector uses transactionRetries and the JPAStorageService uses (undocumented) transactionRetry

The JDBCStorageService (derived from JPA) uses the latter. But it might be better to align this to the component that isn’t going away rather than the one which is (and for which there was no documentation outside the javadoc)
