I really hadn’t tested it to reproduce the condition, but I guess the main thing that occurred to me was why you would want to put anything unrelated to the IdP inside the configuration. I’m sure there are reasons, but it seems wiser just not to do that.

I’m not sure if we can actually catch the error while continuing or not, it might require rewriting all of that code.
