Scott Cantor ( https://shibboleth.atlassian.net/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?accountId=557058%3A5b78efc9-1379-42cc-a3f6-56c6ea3a0007 ) I concur, this is from the “everything is private and we really mean it this time” change from Java 17. I think it’s entirely possible that the Spring Framework 5.3 branch still has some bugs in that area.

Does it seem likely we might be able to get this down to a small number of lines outside the context of the IdP so that we can submit a bug upstream?
