That makes sense. So maybe add a context to the PRC which the abstract OIDC doDecode method can look to pull out via strategy to see if decoding of an attribute should fail if decoding of the values fails? (reverting to failure if the context does not exist)

I guess changing the doDecode API would be too disruptive to the SAML transcoders etc.

I thought of adding a property to the transcoder rule at runtime, but I think the rules are shared for a given registry, so that could end up being a tragedy.
