Marvin Addison ( https://shibboleth.atlassian.net/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?accountId=70121%3Aa2eef653-9ef6-4d7f-b926-77ec80881594 ) asked for the ability to support dynamically deriving the target name for an encoding rule from e.g. metadata to support more externally driven naming rules.

I think it may be possible but will require changes to support one-way transcoders that can’t advertise to the registry all of their mappings since the mappings can’t be known apriori.
