I think consistency with previous spelling trumps consistent spelling (I too shied when I saw the Capitalization),

Is it a step to far to support both spellings and deprecate the old spelling (both for Properites and Attributes)?

ISTR that there is a way of deprecating properties and deprecating Attributes is easy)
