I hadn’t factored that in, was thinking the format was always under our control, but that seems fine too. My main use case initially is definitely just the code itself initially. Getting support in the tokens is a bonus.

I suspect load balancers have enough smarts to do fancy stuff with JSON too, but I definitely anticipated keeping it simple and just looking for values prefixing the opaque tokens primarily since that’s just parsing headers or query/form parameters.
