Thanks to Philip Smart ( https://shibboleth.atlassian.net/secure/ViewProfile.jspa?accountId=5afecdc1eb3ffa0c596652c4 ) we have the missing asc. he is also chasing up the roughe download (of maven-javadoc-plugin:3.3.1 which we believe also brings down the plexus-java thing)
