I have installed and configured a Shibboleth IdP v4.1.4 by maintaining, as much as possible, the default values provided by the installation.

The IdP works well, but when I've noted that the selection of the information release consent duration does not work.

I've done these tests:

1) Opened a browser and logged into a server by accepting "Ask me again if information to be provided to this service changes" or "Do not ask me again" selection.

2) Closed browser

3) Opened again the browser (new session) and obtained the same result: the consent page is presented again

I expected that my choice works, but seems not.

I've followed what I have found on https://shibboleth.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IDP4/pages/1265631707/StorageConfiguration and for my IdP configuration I have set the HTML Local Storage ( *idp.storage.htmlLocalStorage=true* ) and left the default value on " *idp.consent.StorageService* " as " *shibboleth.ClientPersistentStorageService* " because I understood from the documention that it is Highly Recommended:
