I configured some custom timers and counters by following the instructions from https://shibboleth.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/IDP4/pages/1265631722/MetricsConfiguration

All of them were working in the expected way with all SAML-flows, but their values were not updated with any of the OIDC-flows.

It looks like root cause for this is that the OIDC-flows are not calling *PopulateMetricContext*. The bean itself is already defined in the abstract beans shared with all the OIDC flows, but it's never evaluated from the flows.
