Making that bean lazy init seems to work. But from the feel of the way that xml file works all that you are doing is delaying the pain until you actually want to to have the protocol reported in an audit file.

So I think, but I’ll defer to Scott, that this ‘just’ needs to be made java. (then I need to work out how to test it)
