The code replaces PROGRAMDATA internally with the result of an API call to get the localized directory name, that isn't the problem. It looks like what it's supposed to look like now.

I don't think the daemon not starting is the cause of the installer error. If it were, your original install would have failed with the same error since it couldn't have started then either.

Rod, do you happen to know how he could get a trace of the installer running? That seems to be the next step here. If we could get it installed, I think the code would work now, but we won't know until whatever the other bug is can get fixed.

I saw no problems installing it myself, and the only change I made to the installer was to the catalog VB script, and tweaking the parameters it passes to the script.
