Ian Young commented on SDSJ-111:
--------------------------------

This is, of course, intended to be analogous to https://issues.shibboleth.net/jira/browse/EDS-31

That one, though, will probably be addressed by facilities available in newer SPs, so won't normally apply to a CDS deployment (certainly not the UK one, as it is Solaris based and I don't feel like dedicating the rest of my career to building the SP under Solaris...)

> It would be nice to be able to filter metadata used by the CDS using some flexible mechanism such as presence/absence if given entity attribute values or (as a more general approach) an XPath expression.
> Background: at present, the UK federation CDS skin makes use of two very similar metadata files, one with a complete list of all entities and a second with some IdPs removed ("hidden from WAYF"). The latter is presented by default, with the former being a user-selectable option (via a link called "search across all sites"). This means producing and signing two aggregates; it would be nice to be able to go down to just one, with the filtering being performed inside the application.
