Chad La Joie closed SIDP-515.

Resolution: Invalid
There is no default login page, only an example. As an example, showing the option is useful. How people choose to display (or not) the bit of data in question is up to them.

> Feedback from a UK SP is this:
> > The problem here is that the logo is very likely (though not certain) to contain the service (SP)
> > name.
> >
> > Displaying it separately seems redundant (in EDINA's case). What we would ideally like to
> > see is the logo, with the displayname as alt text, and the description underneath. That way
> > non-graphical browsers/screenreaders would display the displayname instead of displaying the
> > logo as primary visual identifier.
> I'm not sure of the relative benefits of this. I suspect it might be something to work through with REFEDS (https://refeds.terena.org/index.php/Revised_discover_project) and end up with a recommendation that SP logos should contain the SP name. The reverse (should not) is also possible, but may be a problem for sites who's logo is their name (like EDINA).
> I am willing to hear that this is not for IdP2, so I will enter a similar case against the IdP
