Yeah, there is a default map put there by the installer.  In this case the person saw the map was for "/secure", decided they didn't have such a path and commented that out and thus lost the authType.

So, I think just noting that as a likely mistake would be good.  I think doing a WARN at startup (which I don't think I saw in the logs) and then putting something in the per-request debug information would be good.
