Shibboleth Website launched

The Shibboleth Consortium is pleased to announce the release of the new Shibboleth website. As well as providing a clear synopsis of the Shibboleth projects, the new website heralds the opportunity for new members to join the Shibboleth Consortium alongside the founding members: Internet2, JISC and SWITCH.

The Shibboleth Consortium was established in 2010 to help the Shibboleth project look to its future and find a sustainable funding model. From April 2012, the Consortium will be welcoming new members, from small organisations through to large federations, that make use of the Shibboleth software. The Consortium is also now able to accept donations from those who wish to support the work of Shibboleth through one off contributions.

The Consortium is pleased to welcome JISC Advance as its administrative home. JISC Advance will be providing legal, financial and administrative support to the Consortium as it grows its membership basis.
